Eastern grey squirrel - Sciurus carolinensis. This was a very curious squirrel that decided to run up and see what I was doing with a camera.

The squirrel didn't hang around long, but did let me take both sides.

Taken only a hundred yards from the above, this squirrel just watched me as I walked past, munching something as it enjoyed the show.

Taken in the dead of winter, this little guy followed me for a bit, probably seeing if I was going to drop something for him to eat.

Summer Bracken. This was actually taken with a samsung NV10 compact, my camera before I bought a DSLR.

Large Red Damselfly - Pyrrhosoma nymphula. Because their legs are adapted to catch insects in flight, they are unable to use them for walking.

Common Blue - Polyommatus icarus - male.

Common Blue - male. For butterflies I rely on a low powered telephoto lens. They almost never let you get close enough to use a macro.

Small tortoise shell - Aglais Urticae. Taken very late in the summer.

Muscovy Duck- Cairina moschata.
